Being in the Digital Marketing Industry for over 24 you use A LOT of tools and software to get the jobs done.

From hosting companies and SEO software to WordPress Themes and Courses, I think I’ve used all of them. 😂
But I’m ONLY sharing the ones that you’ll need on this blogging journey.
These tools are either what I am currently using and SWEAR BY,  or the things I’ve used in the past that served their purpose but I may no longer need.

This post may contain affiliate links, which means I’ll receive a commission if you purchase through my link, at no extra cost to you. Please read full disclosure here.

Domain Name

NameCheap – This is where you’ll get your web address

I’ve used Namecheap ever since I started blogging back in 2009. They are one of the least expensive Domain Registrars. You get FREE Privacy Protection (they don’t show people who owns the domain name), great customer service and they don’t hold your domain name hostage if you choose to go with another Domain Registrar. 😉

You may find hosting that offers a FREE domain name but PLEASE do yourself a favor and keep these two seperate. Purchase your domain name from Namecheap and your hosting from some place else.
Get a .COM for just $5.98!

HOSTING

1. HostGator (This is where your site will live)

Host Gator hosting company

When I first started blogging back in 2009 I transferred my blog off of WordPress.com and hosted it on HostGator.com. Over the years I’ve had to use other hosting platforms because a lot of my clients had their sites hosted elsewhere but I always had the service and uptimes on HostGator.

It’s inexpensive, has great customer service and those clients that I suggested HostGator to…are still using them to this day. 😉

2. Bluehost

If you were to Google “Best hosting for blogs” inevitably Bluehost will be one of the top, if not the top recommended! I’ve used Bluehost in the past for some of my clients who were on tight budgets but needed a great hosting company for the price. You do get a free domain name with Bluehost as well.
